Oggi è un giorno triste per i cultori del fumetto che piangono la scomparsa del co-creatore dei più noti supereroi Marvel come Spiderman, I Fantastici 4, Thor, X-Men, Hulk e tantissimi altri. Abbiamo deciso di rendere omaggio a Stan Lee anche noi, raccogliendo in questo post, breve ma carico d’affetto, alcuni dei pensieri più belli che i suoi colleghi hanno espresso attraverso diversi social network.

Jim Steranko, autore del fumetto dedicato a Nick Fury, storico capo dello S.H.I.E.L.D., che ha lavorato a stretto contatto con Stan per oltre 50 anni, apprendendo da lui moltissimo, ha scritto sul suo Twitter: ”STAN LEE died a little while ago!  We should all have been prepping for the eventuality, but it’s still no less a shock to the cultural universe—especially to me because he was my mentor and we’ve stayed in touch more than 50 years! It’s the END OF AN ERA! RIP, my old friend!!!”;

Anche l’ autore di Sin City, Frank Miller, padre fra le altre cose dei fumetti dedicati ad Elektra nel Marvel Universe, ha voluto esprimere il proprio cordoglio per la perdita di un mentore ed un amico: “Devastated by my pal Stan’s passing. He was a childhood inspiration, an instructor to me when I was just getting started and a genuinely sweet man. Will miss him terribly.”;

Si sono stretti intorno a mr. Exelcior anche autori e fumettisti di DC Comics come Geoff Johns, celebre per il suo lavoro su alcune delle testate più famose di DC come  Lanterna Verde, Aquaman, Flash e Superman. Ecco il suo omaggio a Stan Lee postato sempre su Twitter: “”And now, until we meet again, may the blessings of Asgard be showered upon you!” – Stan Lee, Balder the Brave Thank you for sharing your genius and your heart with the world, Stan.”;

Neil Gaiman, autore , sceneggiatore e fumettista per varie serie di successo DC Comics ha detto: “I was first interviewed for Stan Lee’s obituary about 20 years ago. I was happy he defied the reaper and carried on. With Stan gone, an era really does come to an end. He was the happy huckster that comics needed. And he really did alliterate like that when you talked to him.”;

In fine non possiamo non citare le toccanti parole espresse da Jeremy Kirby, nipote dello storico Jack Kirby socio ed amico con cui Stan Lee ha dato inizio all’ era del fumetto supereroistico moderno: “Stan Lee was an icon and for many people, the face of comic books. His passing brings great sadness, but I take solace in knowing that what my grandfather, Stan and so many others like them gave us, will continue to inspire both young and old across the globe!  RIP Stan”.

Speriamo che il nostro omaggio a Stan Lee sia stata cosa gradita e che tutti, autori di fumetti, grafici, sceneggiatori e personalità legate al mondo artistico, possano rivolgere un pensiero al più grande genio della cultura fumettistica pop della nostra era.
